Her approach is mainly cognitive-behavioral, including schema therapy, but also eclectic. A few years ago, she developed an interest in mindfulness and meditation, as well as the relationship between mind and body, which she has incorporated in her approach. Loree Poirier

Yoga Therapist

Native of Moncton, New Brunswick, Loree became interested in yoga in the late 90s and early 2000s as an exercise routine and stress reliever during her Bachelor of Psychology degree.  It wasn’t until becoming pregnant with her daughter in 2011, however, that she took a prenatal yoga course and saw how the physical postures, breathing techniques, and mental/soulful aspects of yoga can come together and deliver huge benefits.

Since then, her practice has become a more routine part of her life, and became a “life saver” and amazing tool when returning to her full-time public-school teaching position (graduate from Crandall University Education in 2007).  While trying to find balance in all areas of life, she embarked on her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and became a certified yoga instructor in 2014 under the guidance of Jenny Kierstead from Breathing Space Yoga Studio.

She has since been teaching yoga and mindfulness to children in a yoga club at her school and teaches (mostly beginner Hatha and Vinyasa style classes) to friends, family, fellow teachers. She also teaches Beginner’s Yoga class at Bodywise Yoga Therapy and Laluna Yoga Studio in Moncton or from her home-based studio space.  Loree has a passion for helping others with the basics of yoga and knows that the practice can be a good fit for ANY body, age, or ability who wants to reap its benefits.

She has a special interest in how yoga can help your mental health to relieve stress, anxiety, trauma, and depression and is currently in her Internship portion of Level III training from the 600 hour Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy course in Massachusetts. Loree is excited to become the 1st certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist in New Brunswick in February through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She embraces life-long learning and has attended a Yoga for Trauma training session, has her Level III Reiki (master healer) certification, and many other workshops such as Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within event in Florida in 2016 where she became a “Fire Walker”.

Loree truly embraces what meditation, breathing techniques, and physical movement in the form of asana can do for your mind, body, and soul, and would love to share with anyone who is open to the possibility of what doors can be opened and what we can really do when we reach out to become our truest and best selves.

Veronica, our massage therapist, leaning against a brick wall with a cup of tea

Veronica Seward

Registered Massage Therapist

If you are looking for a massage that will ground you, help you feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated, Veronica is your girl!

Originally from Massachusetts, United States, Veronica has been practicing massage therapy since 2010, after completing a 2200 hour course in Moncton, NB. She joined the Association of New Brunswick Massage Therapists (in 2010), which she continues to be in good standing with. After legislation of massage therapy in 2013, Veronica joined the College of Massage Therapist of New Brunswick and continues to be in good standing with them as well.

She started her career in the spa industry for 3 years before moving to Massage Addict in Dieppe, NB where she worked for 6 years and where she built a solid foundation within the company.

Her experience in the spa industry, taught Veronica how luxurious and therapeutic massage therapy can be by incorporating other tools like essential oils & warm hydrotherapy like hot stone and hot towels. She also learned and tailored her techniques to be gentle, tranquil and relaxing as well as therapeutic because she wants to give her clients the care they need physically and mentally.

Veronica is a strong believer in lifelong learning and is always looking to grow through courses & personal development as a health care professional and as a young woman. Through this development, she has grown deeply spiritually and is attuned to the energies that surround her. She enjoys using mindfulness & energy therapy (like Chios and Theta healing) to help heal, empower and educate her clients to live a happy, thriving life by reconnecting with themselves and with spirit.

Over the years, Veronica has worked with a variety of clients therapeutically (with TMJ dysfunction, chronic pain (like fibromyalgia), Degenerative Disc Disease, cancer and chronic migraines to name a few) and loves working with clients who have never had a massage before because she feels that it is the best way to show someone, physically, what massage can do for them. She always strives to create a safe and practical treatment tailored to each individual client.

Whether you are looking for relief from chronic pain, muscle tension or looking for a moment of relaxation, Veronica can help you achieve all of these and more.
