Psychological and Neuropsychological Evaluations

Psychological evaluations are a way to establish the state of your mental health. This is accomplished by looking at your behaviours, personality, mood, cognitive abilities, and many other psychological aspects of your life.

Neuropsychological evaluations aim to determine the parts of your brain affected by a brain injury or a neurological illness. Our psychologist will look at your medical history as well as your behaviours and cognitive abilities to make this determination.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a one-on-one process where you work with a counselor in a confidential and safe environment to explore your thoughts and feelings, as well as learn tools to help you grow and know more about yourself.

Couples Therapy

Unlike individual therapy, couples therapy involves you and your significant other meeting with a counselor in order to help strengthen your relationship. This may involve conflict resolution, or tools and techniques to improve communication.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy using the Phoenix Rising modality is used to connect your body and mind. It is a combination of yoga poses, focused breath and elements of dialogue that help to create a deep connection with the self that can bring about possible changes in the body, mind, soul and even your everyday life.

Massage Therapy

The practice of massage therapy is, (subject to the exclusions contained in section 72 of the Act), the assessment of the soft tissues and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joints by mobilization to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain, and does not include manipulation or movement of the spine or the joints of the body beyond an individual’s usual physiological range of motion, using a high velocity, low amplitude thrust. (Subsection 3(4) of the Massage Therapy Act of New Brunswick).

Group Therapy and Events

Group therapy provides an outlet for multiple people to work together by sharing their experiences and coping mechanisms. A counselor will meet with each individual together, and discuss their feelings in a safe and confidential environment.

Group events are provided by the team at Mind-Body Solutions to help individuals in their every day lives, by learning a new skill, tool, or coping mechanism.
